Awards and Publications

Over the past 20 years Victoria has both written for, and been featured in, dozens of national and trade publications. She supports other green design and building programs and green endeavors by offering advice, granting interviews, answering industry questions and writing articles.

Awards and Achievements

 

  • 1990 - Marin Designer Showcase "Sustainable and Healthy Foyer;" featured in "House Beautiful" magazine
  • 1994 - founded "Building Concerns" non-profit to disseminate information and programs on green design and building
  • 1995 - Front-page feature story of "Interiors & Sources" first green issue
  • 1998 - ASID Sustainable Design Council founder
  • 2001-2005 NARI Certified Green Building Professional in California
  • 2000 - Recipient of American Society of Interior Designers "Design for Humanity Award"
  • 2002 - Present - CEU teacher for ASID's "Distinguished Speakers” panel
  • 2003 - "Room Doctor" for "Health" magazine competition for green room make-over
  • 2005 - Design consultant and project manager for national "Lennox Home Comfort Makeover" competition
  • 2006 - ASID "ICON" Magazine featured interview
  • Fall 2006 - Opened Asheville Green Cottage
  • Fall 2009  - Featured "Eco-Pioneer" in Carolina Home & Garden magazine
